Profile

Your profile is the personal information attached to your individual user. Updating it here only affects you, not anyone else who logs in to the same account.

Where to find it

Click your name in the top right of the navbar and choose Profile from the dropdown. Anyone with login access can edit their own profile.

Profile settings are personal. Account-wide settings like company name, time zone, and date format live under Account Settings instead.

Fields

First Name

Your given name. Optional, but recommended so other team members know who is doing what in shared activity logs. Up to 180 characters.

Last Name

Your family name. Optional. Up to 180 characters.

Phone Number

Your phone number. Optional. Used for account recovery and, in some cases, two-factor authentication when you enable it. Up to 15 characters.

Email

Your login email. This is required and must be unique within Commerce Kitty. Changing it changes the email you use to log in starting on your next session.

Updating your email also changes where notification emails go. Make sure the new address works before you log out.

New Password

Optional. Leave blank to keep your current password. If you want to change your password, type the new one here and confirm it in the second field. Both must match.

Current Password

Required for any update, even if you are only changing your name. This protects your account from someone sneaking in to change your settings on a shared computer. Enter the password you currently use to log in.

What changes when you save

Profile changes take effect immediately. If you changed your password, you stay logged in but the next time you log in you must use the new one.
