Account Settings

Account settings control the global preferences for your Commerce Kitty account: company name, time zone, currency, and how dates and times are displayed throughout the app.

Where to find it

Click your name in the top right of the navbar and choose Settings from the dropdown. The settings page is scoped to the entire account, so changes here affect every user who logs in to it.

Account settings are different from your personal profile. Account settings apply to everyone. Profile settings only apply to you.

Fields

Company Name

The legal or trading name of your business. This appears on invoices, in some reports, and as a label in the app. You can change it any time. Up to 255 characters.

Timezone

The time zone used to display dates and times throughout the app. Pick the zone where your business operates. Reports, order timestamps, and dashboard cards all respect this setting.

If you have team members in multiple time zones, pick the one that matches the people who do operations work most often. Individual users cannot override this.

Currency

The default currency for the account. This is the currency used for billing and the fallback currency for any reporting that does not roll up by channel.

The account currency is not the same as a channel base currency. Each channel has its own base currency for the orders it receives. The account currency is the umbrella default.

Date Format

Controls how dates appear throughout the app. Choose from common formats like Dec 29 2025, 2025-12-29, or 29/12/2025. The dropdown previews each option using today's date so you can see exactly what you are picking.

Time Format

Controls how times appear throughout the app. Choose between 12-hour (2:30 PM) and 24-hour (14:30) variants. The dropdown shows live previews.

What changes when you save

Saving the form applies the new settings immediately. The next page you load uses the new time zone, date format, and time format. Existing dates do not need to be reformatted because formatting happens at display time.
