Notifications

Notifications are messages Commerce Kitty sends you about things that happened in your account: sync errors, important warnings, and updates that need your attention.

Where to find them

A bell icon sits at the top right of the navbar. When you have unread notifications, a red counter shows how many. Click the bell to open the full notifications list.

What gets sent

Commerce Kitty creates notifications for events that need a human to look at them. The most common examples are:

  • A plugin sync failed and could not recover on its own
  • Inventory dropped below a low stock threshold
  • A plugin lost authorization and needs to be reconnected
  • Your billing plan is approaching a usage limit
  • An import or export job ran into an error

Routine sync activity does not create notifications. The bell only lights up for things that are not self-correcting.

Notification types

Info

General updates that you might want to know about but do not require action. Shown with a blue bell icon.

Error

Something went wrong and Commerce Kitty needs you to do something about it. Shown with a red exclamation icon. Read these first.

Working with notifications

Mark as read

Click a notification to mark it as read individually. Read notifications stay in the list but no longer contribute to the unread counter on the bell.

Mark all as read

Use the action at the top of the list to clear the unread counter all at once. Useful when you have caught up after being away.

Delete

Permanently remove a notification you no longer need. Deleted notifications cannot be recovered.

Filtering and pagination

The notifications list supports pagination. By default it shows 10 notifications per page, but you can change that to 25, 50, or 100 from the page size dropdown. Notifications are sorted with the newest at the top.
